When she let her deeper feelings well up, she could hear beautiful sounds, feel wonderful sensations, scent sweet perfumes, taste and see magical things. One day, she went out blarging in a huge green cabbage and met a moth with glittering golden wings. 'Hello,' said the moth in his soft, sweet voice, 'Why are cabbages round and green? I know your S E C R E T. You aren't a caterpillar at all. Inside you lives a beautiful butterfly who longs to come out to play. But she's shy. I know a magic word to release her. Would you like to hear the word?' 'Yes please, oh yes!' said the caterpillar eagerly, 'I've always wanted to fly. Tell me the word?' And the Moth whispered the word in the caterpillar's ear and the butterfly was set free. She no longer had to pretend things, for all the wonderful things she had pretended became true.
